This work is part of a series in which the artist draws and paints directly over famous and controversial tabloid covers, transforming sensational media imagery into a new visual narrative. Headlines, celebrity photographs and scandal are disrupted by graffiti, Pop Art symbols and recurring characters from the artist’s universe.
By layering his own visual language over these already provocative images, the artist plays with the relationship between media, celebrity, scandal and popular culture. The original story remains visible beneath the intervention, creating a dialogue between what the media wants us to see and what the artist chooses to reinvent.
